When asked how to pronounce his name, Mads himself said, "Like 'mass,' no D. It used to be an old-fashioned farmer's name, but it's become popular again."

 The "s" in his last name, meanwhile, is pronounced like a "z": Mass Mikkelzen (and I love him all the same).
